Leslie M. Stewart
Ms. Stewart graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin, with a degree in English. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas, was admitted to the bar in 1994, and immediately began practicing with the Houston law firm of Lanier, Wilson, Parker, and Sullivan, where she litigated cases exclusively on behalf of plaintiffs.
Her wide experience includes cases involving maritime/offshore injuries and death, asbestos-related diseases and death, diseases and death caused by exposure to toxic chemicals such as benzene, vinyl chloride monomer, and other toxic chlorinated hydrocarbons, injuries and death caused by medical negligence, negligence of nursing home personnel, and by the negligence of the operators of motor vehicles. Ms. Stewart also has broad experience in litigating pharmaceutical cases, as well as cases involving the negligence of the owners of premises.
In 2001, Ms. Stewart moved her practice to Austin, and joined the firm of Tomblin, Carnes & McCormack, where she continued her work on behalf of injured persons.
Ms. Stewart is a member of the Texas State Bar, The Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. She is also a volunteer ombudsman for the Capital Area Agencies on Aging.
